Lord of all, I thank you for your mercy and grace. In the moments when I feel like I have failed you, you let me know that I am loved. You shower compassion upon me and give me peace, even when I don’t deserve it. I feel you in sadness and in my joy.
I look around and see your handprints everywhere. I am comforted to know that you are near and the promises you have made are being kept…in this very moment. There is no one that can plant hope in my heart and laughter on my lips like you. As the early morning birds serenade me, I can hear you. As the rain pours down, I know you are cleansing and refreshing me.
Everywhere I turn, you are near to watch over me and to call me to step into the unknown. Do not forget me, Lord. Help me to find you when I am lost and afraid of the tomorrow I cannot see. You are my protector and my refuge. In you alone, I can sleep and find rest. Let me be for others what you are to me, a shelter in the storm.
