Lord of all creation, we are in awe of your majesty. Watching the heavens flow down upon the earth as snow, we can believe that one day heaven and earth will be one. We are aware of what you control, and it stills all fear. As the wind swirls and gathers each snowflake in its dance, we feel your power to command the tiniest snowflake. It is by your hand that the earth is blanketed in white, disguising the darkest grime on our streets and dressing every bare branch on the trees. There is no one like you, not one who could transform the world in a matter of minutes.
Help us not to forget your authority. You who formed the stars and placed the oceans, you are the one who called us into being. We are the ones you call to listen for your word and to act! Be in our days and our nights. Show us the way to live that brings you joy. Be in our hearts so we might reflect your light. Let your love overflow from us so others know you are faithful and kind. We long to share the peace we have found.
