God of all, I lift my voice in praise and thanksgiving for the gift of this new day. As morning breaks through the darkness, the symphony of your creation fills the silence with music. Even in the cold of winter, the birds have a song to share. As the temperature plummets, the fox play in the fields. As shivers race up my spine, I see your blessings and hear your call.
Lord, be with those for whom shelter is a challenge. Be with your beloved as the frost bites their skin. Be with those who are hungry for food but even more for you. Be with all who feel isolated and alone. Be in their thoughts and erase their fears. You, Merciful One, are the answer. You are the answer to all doubt and the hope in despair.
Come, abide in me as I strive to be faithful. Encourage me to step into the darkness and stretch out my hand. I pray in the powerful name of Jesus, Amen.
