God of all, we thank you for the many blessings that we have received. Time spent with family and friends reminds us that you are a compassionate and loving God. You have created us to love and be loved. Let the joy which fills our spirits carry us through days when challenges overwhelm us. Your promises are the ones that sustain us and we are grateful. May we be to others the light they need to see.
Trusting in your love and grace, we can face the unknown because we know we will not face it alone. Pour out your mercies upon those who are grieving, may they find hope in you. May their hearts be comforted by your presence. Grant peace to those who suffer in mind, body, and spirit. We trust that you are with them providing them a way of the darkness.
We ask all this, in the name of your precious Son, Our Lord and Savior. Amen.
