Gracious God,
I look out the window with thanksgiving in my heart for all you have created. The promised May flowers have arrived and decorate the garden with colors only you can create. Each plant holds its own beauty and the tree that grants them shade is a canopy of green leaves dancing in the breeze. I am so awed by your mighty power and your gentle grace. The earth that clings to all the roots is sweet and refreshed by winter’s chill and spring’s rainfalls. Your handiwork is displayed for our delight.
How can you love me with such abandon? Why is your devotion so unwavering? You know me better than I know myself. Yet you see me as I will become and close your eyes to my stumbling. You even stretch out a saving hand when I fall and help me stand stronger in the face of every new challenge. I see you in the shadows that follow me and hear you in the sounds that bid me to move on to the next place you need me to go.
In every moment of every day, you are with me. The beauty of your creation and the wonder of each sound are gifts that you freely give. I am wholly yours and I give thanks that you are my rock and salvation. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Pastor Maria 5.12.22
